About the event
This workshop focuses on the details of how to lead, groom, prepare, train, use their tools, and ride a horse in a group setting. Students are provided with demonstration and hands-on learning experiences that exhibit the ups and downs to the "horse life". Those who would like to participate in the riding may borrow one of our Academy helmets.
W.A observes a weight limit of 200lbs in accordance with the NC department of Agriculture's recommendation for equine mounted activities. Guests that may exceed this limit are still welcome to join in the workshop & participate in all other aspects. Mounted participation is not obigatory for any guest.
*$50/guest with signed release. For ages 7+. Family groups welcome! Please note this workshop is not a standard riding lesson and some participants may opt out of the optional "hands-on" activities.
